After resolving its dispute with the Drudge Retort, the Associated Press (AP) is working to develop guidelines for what it considers to be permissible use of its content by bloggers. The Drudge Retort is Rogers Cadenhead's takeoff of the Drudge Report. Earlier this month, the AP sent a notice ordering Cadenhead to remove seven postings from the site that the AP alleged violated its copyright.
ConnectU has failed in its bid to revisit its confidential settlement with Facebook. ConnectU's principals have alleged that Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg stole their ideas and code while they were all students at Harvard. The companies reached a settlement of the dispute in February and a federal judge in California rejected ConnectU's bid to reopen the case to consider newly discovered evidence.
