April 9, Jon posted on the upcoming Power of Attorney radio show this
Saturday at 10:00 am on Federal News Radio, that will feature Eric Horvitz and me
discussing licensing requirements for Internet entrepreneurs. The show is intended to break down many of
the steps that a business should take after the business has been formed the
entity at the state level (as discussed on the April 6 show with Wayne Zell). Time permitting during our show, we also will cover some of the most common business mistakes that Eric and I see Internet entrepreneurs make.
On the show and in this blog post below, when
discussing state law issues, we will focus on Virginia law. However, each state has its owns quirks and
requirements. Entrepreneurs often are
caught completely unaware of many of the tax, legal, and regulatory schemes
that constantly must be monitored by any business. Navigating all of the issues can be
difficult, but with experienced legal and financial advisors, every
entrepreneur can feel comfortable that he or she is following all necessary
an entity with the state simply is step one in a process that will continue for
the lifetime of the business. Below the jump are
some of the other issues to consider. Each of these issues will be discussed in greater detail on the show this Saturday.
